Abazzite uses tuned, the default profile is already good but you can explore tuned to see if it has autoswitching
Aif not you can try to implement a tuned command to switch to the desired profile as a pre-run script + run an exit command to restore to the previous profile
Aif youre looking to do that for the GPU, lact can do that

CTo this day Feral gamemode doesn't support TuneD, so it wouldn't even work. Besides that, the Bazzite maintainers have already said it won't be included. It creates significant tech debt for the most marginal improvements.
You can easily let AI write a simple shell script for you that sets TuneD to use the performance mode while a game is running. It's not very complicated to write.

CThe problem with falcond is is that it does much more than just set your power profile to performance. This is Feral gamemode but with lots of things stacked on top of it.
CBazzite is not focused on squeezing every last bit out of your hardware: It is focused on just giving a working gaming system or handheld. Adding all these daemons to try and squeeze performance out creates tech debt and potentially issues that are extremely hard to debug.

Cby default power saving in powerdevil will go power saving in tuned but if the profile doesn't exist nothing will change
