Kingdom Hearts - Launches Menu - Crashes Game

Just trying to launch a selection from the 1.5 remix installation on Epic via Heroic Launcher. It launches the menu but after selecting a specific title, that seems to fail and it just toses me back into the main menu again. Have tried numerous versions of GE Proton to no avail. Heroic Flatpak 2.18.2 System is Linux Mint 22.1 Kernel: 6.14.0-27-generic DE: Cinnamon 6.4.8 CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X (32) @ 5.086GH GPU: AMD ATI Radeon RX 7900 XT/7900 XTX/7900M Attached the log file after attempting to run the game. Thank you in advance for any help!

Solution:

the KH launcher doesn't work on the EGS version. you need to set the individual game's exe as the alternative exe

This isn't going to be your issue, but this is set incorrectly. the key is SteamDeck and the value is 1. Otherwise, you are saying steamdeck=steamdeck=1

Yeah whoops I grabbed the log file where I tried that. I tried without it, same thing. Will follow your instructions. Thank you!! thats the 'select an alterative EXE to run' option correct? and then if so, I can just create a new selection for each title/exe and set the prefix folder to the same area and specify the exe? Pretty sure this is a rhetorical question, but wanted to double check .

just change the alternative exe when you finish a game and move on to the next one
