second freezes every few minutes while gaming, constant freeze after system update
While gaming (most games affected) I get random freezes of about 1 second every few minutes or so. while it happens, I see my GPU load sensor go to zero. (see picture) Only happens ingame and only when the game is focused.
It might be connected to that other thing:
When I run the system update and I reboot, i get a 1 second freeze every 2 seconds (without even starting a game), making it hard to even reboot again. after 2nd reboot its all back to normal. Happened last boot as well, here is the log file of that session:

Also, I am under the impression fwupdmgr can't check for GPU drivers.
Also², I ran 2 passes with memtest86+, just in case.

Still happens almost every day, still no idea what it is.
Might be related to this. You use nvidia? https://github.com/NVIDIA/open-gpu-kernel-modules/issues/880#issuecomment-3156876389

I wish I could say yes, but no.. and I still absolutely no clue what causes it.
got an AMD 9070XT
Check if your psu is up to snuff and connected with 2 separate 8 pin pcie cables and not split. You should also set the gpu and cpu on stock settings (no oc or uv) to see if that runs stable. If you upgraded from another card on the same install, try nuking the wine prefixes for the affected games.
Yup, its 2 separate cables (I faced THAT one a with the 2080 back then..) and PSU is 1000W.
yepp no oc or uv.. thoough might have to d oublecheck if my BIOS does some (more) funky stuff by default
also, its an all fresh install, this machine was born with bazzite 🙂
Still relatively sure the issue lies with GPU, as I get kernel panics about once a day
