Random blender segfault

Operating System: Bazzite 42 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.16.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 Kernel Version: 6.15.9-106.bazzite.fc42.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 32 × AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-Core Processor Memory: 96 GiB of RAM (91.9 GiB usable) Graphics Processor 1: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX Graphics Processor 2: AMD Radeon Graphics Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. Product Name: MS-7E16 System Version: 1.0 while working in blender i will get random segfaults causing the program to close i installed blender via rpm-ostree so i could use HIP render, i also have the new Vulkan backend running for some better performance the fault happens randomly, i could have a million face object in viewport and it would run fine (relatively), while i could just be playing around with the default cube and it would fault and crash. not sure where to go from here since im fairly new to linux, ive been able to find very little information about this online so i would appreciate any help given thanks

Properties Select legacy runtime in compatibility Do not select proton Now blender should run without steamlinuxruntime 1.0

that worked. i am curious if that will solve the segfault issue so i will update if it happens again. thanks a lot!
