Microphone sound level changing automatically
As the title says, my microphone gain/sound level changes on its iwn randomly, sounding like I jyst suddenly moved very far away then back to mormal.
I have a Rode NT USB mic plugged directly into my motherboard.
This problem is also new of this current install, the first time I ran Bazzite that wasn't a problem but I am not sure if I installed a newer version than last time.
I think I already took care of most of the obvious troubleshooting, since the problem is intermittent (every hour or so) and I have only been made aware of it on Discord so I made sure to test with all the automation off (auto gain, noise cancelation all that stuff) I generally use Noisetorch to cancel noise so I also made sure to use direct mic output and not Noisetorch's virtual mic and the problem persists.
I play a few games like Peak and Repo and have neven been made aware of the issue there but I also spend only a few hoyrs per week on those compared to tens of hours on discord so it could be statistics.
So is there anything in Pipewire or Discord that might be affecting my microphone that I can turn off that wasn't alreasy mentionned?

so, after installing vesktop and going to set its permissions so I could send images I noticed it had a few more file access that Discord did so I added them manually and continued with Discord after that and at least tonight, no one reported the bug to me, I will continue testing, but could it be that one of theses actually fixed the issue?

Turn off input sensitivity in discord/vesktop.
That fixed it for me with the same mic.
Already did that with Discord, not sure what vesktop is tho is that a Discord alternative or another software that's default on Bazzite?
Oh and I use the flatpak version of Discord if that matters at all!
Vesktop is a discord alternative yeah. I'll see if I can recreate it for the discord flatpak.
Seems that for me as long as I keep the input volume on 100%, the volume stays consistent, but as soon as I change that settings actual mic volume goes haywire without any real discernible setting combination or obvious reason. In vesktop it's consistent with the input sensitivity setting.
Ok I might check into Vesktop then since I also have been having issues with streaming either not having sound ir video but never both at once which also baffled me a little

At this point I have been running this fix for long enough that I think I can confidently say it worked!
