SWAT: Elite Force fails to launch
Apparently the error about missing
System.Management.Automation means it needs PowerShell, which is part of Windows Management Framework, and is distributed only as a .msu. Is it even possible to make this work under Wine/Proton?17 Replies

I resolved this error by installing

I couldn't get
LaunchSEF.exe to run, but setting the working directory to SEF/System and directly running ContentExpansion/System/Swat4X.exe seems to be enough to run the expansion.
That path to the executable (ContentExpansion/System/Swat4X.exe) will need to be an absolute path, though.environmental-rose•2mo ago

I ended up getting this working in vanilla Wine run from the command line, so I don't have exact steps for Heroic.

I'm only on my phone at the moment, so I can't get a screenshot. I think it's under the advanced tab under the game settings in Heroic.

Tried to change path over the pre-script section, but that made the game not runnable.
Sorry I'm trying to find the info myself, but I'm a bit overwhelmed (and tired).
