Immich (beta) still does no real background sync

Is this expected? I was under the impression that exactly beta would solve this: - have photos on your iphone (new, not yet synced) - open immich app - see that it takes a moment to "see" the new photos from iphone - see that it does start to sync - close the app - no matter how long you wait, it will never sync - leave the app open, active, in foreground, and the assets get synced I thought this was exactly what beta timeline would do so much better? If that is the case, it is not working for me. If that is not the case, it might be one of the most important things missing so far 😄

Do you have notification turned on it will help spot when the sync going been working pretty well for me on two iPhone not sure about iCloud users though 🤔

Yes, and it notifies, but never syncs nonetheless unless I actually open the app.

so it runs, probably never get a chance to finish before getting killed by the OS
