Unable to start Returnal on Epic Games Through Heroic

Hello all, I would really appreciate some help with this. No matter what I do I can't seem to get the game to actually start. It shows launching but then after awhile it just stops. i am using bazzite and it does not worki in gamemode or desktop mode. I am also unable to find any logs but I might just not know where to look

I think I was trying things before to fix it. I just unchecked it in game settings but still no luck. No worries, i appreciate the help

Unfortunate. Just my luck haha My first and only epic game and it doesn't work. I dual boot so i guess windows it is.

I wonder if this is one of those cases where the game actually checks if there's an EpicGamesLauncher.exe file launching it maybe try adding the env variable USE_FAKE_EPIC_EXE=true, doesn't hurt to try, we use that for Rockstar games that look for that specific executable

Ended up giving up and going back to windows but since that did it for someone else I'll close the post. I'll definitely try it if I go back over to bazzite Thanks to everyone for the help!
