New to Bazzite, no signal to TV after first reboot

Hello,

I bought a mini PC (GMKTec G3, with an Intel N150) to serve as a home theater PC. I want to do the following things with it:

  • serve as a Jellyfin Media Server host, with the TV or my gaming PC serving as a client depending on where I wanna watch something
  • have an external HDD plugged into it so that it can serve as a NAS (the media for the Jellyfin server are supposed to be on it)
  • stream games from my gaming PC in my office to the living room TV (TCL 4K Android TV) to play using a controller
Based on the research I did, Bazzite seems like a perfect fit as it can run a Jellyfin server using quadlets, I can remote into it from my gamingPC for setup, and it has the nice controller friendly Steam gaming mode UI for use with the living room TV so I dont need to keep a keyboard & mouse plugged in to the PC when it sits under my TV.

I completed the initial install on my living room TV, rebooted, it loaded into gaming mode after signing into Steam. After that I installed Sunshine and continued the rest of my setup by remote controlling the PC via Moonlight from my gaming PC for the extra convenience, and set up my Jellyfin server like that, this all worked fine thanks to online guides.

However, after I rebooted the mini PC after some updates, I now have an issue where it doesnt output anything to my TV anymore. TV says "no signal" (or to be specific, when I turn on the mini PC, the TV turns black for half a second and then goes back to "no signal"). I have tried multiple HDMI ports (on both the mini PC and the TV) and multiple cables, to no avail. When I take the PC to my office and plug it into one of my PC monitors, everything works just fine, but I cant seem to get it work on my TV anymore, which is very strange to me because it worked fine on the first boot after installing Bazzite.

I can still access the terminal via Putty so it boots properly, but I just cant get it to display on my TV anymore.

I would be grateful for any help or advice.
Solution
after a bunch of trial and error I managed to fix it - by turning on autologin in the desktop mode settings, as dumb as it sounds. now my TV immediately displays when the pc boots. just in case anyone else runs into the same issue
