Data safe install + custom PPI
Hello!
I have a few questions with regards to install procedure, plus a few specific hardware configuration related issues.
1.
Currently I have bazzite installed on a 4tb drive encrypted with luks, however I very much dislike the file structure of linux (despite having some previous experience - fedora kde spin).
I'm used to windows 10 and prefer to partition os drives to their bare minimum ie: 200gb for os the rest for say a general storage drive. Of course I have other drives used in win10.
I would like to install bazzite on a 1tb drive and have the home directory on the 4tb to contain all games and other files, what is the required configuration and steps / issues that could arise ?
Preferably I would like some comments on distrohopping so that my data is retained. This os being immutable has so far not provided much issues from my testing and all works well.
I would like both drives to be encrypted.
I have 64gb of system ram. Default swap is used with current install.
2.
Logitech mx 3, both solaar nor piper are able to control the thumb scroll, I require that this is able to control the volume. In windows 10 this was hooked to voice meter and controlled the global volume.
3.
My monitor (a dell aw3423dwf) has a non standard pixel structure and the ppi is 110 and suffers from massive amount of text fringing. Scaling above 100% fixes but does not eliminate the horrible text fringing that occurs. KDE as of some update removed the force dpi option and all of the ai related recommendations recommend having to make changes to specific configs but this means making the system mutable (not ideal)
xrandr --dpi 110 does nothing.
4 (bonus), Are there any alternatives to voice meter banana or potato. Or even better is it possible to visualize somehow?
