Thief 2 stopped working after Steam OS update
On a Steam Deck OLED, updated last stable Steam os and from there when i start the Game It closes, It Will not work. The Game worked before. Ill share the log now.

maybe the last steam os stable update has generated some issues?
Any idea on how to fix this?

I Will try now. Since that Steam os update some things are behaving weird, for example the updates on discover of applications on Desktop mode from flatpak dont seem to download correctly among other things

Im curious, is there a reason for that? Ive worked with Linux distros and i know that there is the case sensitive thing on computer but i didnt knew when updating

Reason: Leaving choice to user but hinting what they should do at the same time.
You dont need to reply with uppercase y fwiw, lowercase also work. It is represented as upper case to indicate expected answer.
Just a way of dev/maintainer telling you what is the expected way to go.

When using the command It updated, including those applications that i wasnt able to before on Discover.

I went through all this same jazz when after discovery store apps updates broke any of my games from launching from heroic. Did this sudo flatpack updating and installing in terminal. Installed new gamescope whatnot. Still no launching. I gave up and got junkstore through decky loader and regained my epic library. Maybe when all this sorts its self out ill return to heroic but for now. At least I can play my rocket league in bed on my steamdeck.
And I also had tried various wine and proton versions too.
If you want help with that, create your own thread and send in a game log. Your issue likely isn't the same as OP's
Also, you shouldn't be able to run things as root (
sudo ...) in the first place, so you must've modified something on the Deck for that to have worked. In my experience, SteamOS is rather picky with updates, and modifications you think shouldn't affect it end up breaking thingsadverse-sapphire•23h ago
