Fit check - comment below
Hello, I ordered some linen shirts, trousers and a pair of suade loafers for a holiday next week in corfu. Shirts took a while to arrive and feel a bit baggier than I am used to. I’m 6ft and a bit. 183 lbs. I tend to be an awkward in between size with a lot of brands as L is often too roomy in the midriff, but M and my sleeves length stops short halfway up the arms.
How do we think the fit of this stuff is? I was in two minds about returning it but I’ve kind of run out of time to replace now
Can I get away with this being baggy? Use will be at restaurants in the evening for dinner. The resort requires men to wear shirts and cover up arms and legs in the evening
Also first time wearing boat shoes. Or any loafers. Is it ok to show a little sock?

Hi @Clingy! For better answers, include:

- Budget in numbers
- Specific measurements
- Openness to buying secondhand and/or online
- Location: country/continent is fine
- Timing/urgency

looks good, my experience is most linen will shrink a little on first wash so I wouldn't want to go smaller than this.
Thanks
So maybe just take the tags off give stuff a wash and if I feel it’s too baggy after that get a tailor to take things in slightly?
Linen feels comfy AF though I will say
Linen looks good. You may be rolling up your sleeves anyway or they might shrink in length slightly from the first wash
Better to be slightly bigger with linen
Have fun on your holiday
these are not too baggy
Thanks gang
Made me feel a whole lot better. I recently found a brand of sportswear Montane, that I tend to wear if I’m not wearing smart work clothes
montane fits me perfectly and is made for taller more slim people so I think I’ve just been too used to that or slim fitting work stuff
Have a great day all
Flowy linen keeps you cooler than tight linen
