External Library "Failed to load image" on only some of the images
Hello, I have just installed immich yesterday, set up an external library for my photos from the DSLR in an existing folder structure and let it cache all the previews overnight. Unfortunately after checking in the morning, some folders do not load, only showing the "Failed to load image" error on all images.
The folders that work and these errored ones belong to the same root, on the same share. How can I diagnose this problem further?
P.S. Thanks for the awesome software

Very odd.. I was just coming in here to update my post from last week about this exact same issue (or what appears to be)
Check your Jobs in Administration to see if there are any still being processed.
Nope, checked that already
Let me just finish finding my old post so I can update it and I'll pop back to try and give you a hand
It's as if it borked its own internal cache, since I can download the photos from immich correctly
Just not display them
Do you have the Folders view enabled by chance for your account? Go into your account settings, then under Features there is one called Folders. Enable both.
Yes - enabled
It will probably help diagnose
I can't view photos in the folders
Ok cool, so when you browse the folders and see the missing thumbnails, is there any other information, like the filename?
Yes, I can see the filenames
Ok, then that means Immich is seeing the images just fine. It most likely means that it hasn't generated the thumbnails for them.

Under the Jobs section, in the Thumbnails area, there should be a button for missing. You could try that
I did that already, many times
It didn't help
What does it show under server stats?
Ok, wait - I just clicked on "Missing" again, and it's reporting 10 thousand to go. Maybe that was it
I swear I tried that already. I'll report back once the task completes. Thank you
Yup, that was it. I feel dumb
