I'm his current linux tech translator. Btw I'm trying to personally help and having negative luck.
I also believe we have partal internet access for some odd reason.
That may be part of the problem.
Steam is offline. You need to figure out what is wrong with your network connection. Can you browse the web? If you can't, does changing DNS settings in Firefox make a difference?
Web browsers work fine, Iβve tried changing dns setting to no avail
Try opening the terminal and use the command
ujust fix-reset-steam it will clear all the steam files and re-install it (while leaving games intact). If it doesn't work you might still get a better error message.Thatβs what Iβve tried in the above photo unfortunately, thanks for the help tho
And it wonβt let me open logs

Something is wrong with your internet somehow
yes
yea we tried mobile teathering with a cable and that worked.
so the thing is its just wifi thats and issue and this a fresh install of bazzite.
also turning on secure boot knocks off the wifi.
if it helps he is using a gseires dell desktop.
i had him reset the wifi drivers.
using these commands.
these did not help./
only some of the internet is working i was able to get him to ping google.
Maybe try a different DNS service in your Wifi settings, I typically use 1.1.1.1 for the cloudflare DNS server or 8.8.8.8 for the Google one.

we fixed the issue it was the mobile phone he was trying to use as a hotspot/
we have a new phone the issue is fixed and the wifi works great.
That's great news. Glad that you managed to solve it. Sometimes the issue is just a hardware one
