1.1.1.1 not blocking NSFW Reddit

This needs to be adressed.
On Reddit, under the so called "moderated" NSFW communites, you can enter any of them by just clicking on "Yes, I am over 18". These communities may include pornographic material, which directly contredicts the promice of a family friendly internet DNS. Plz fix.

It's not possible to do that with DNS. I don't think there's any solution for that besides blocking Reddit as a whole.

Yes but that filter is applied without allowing the user to disable it, just because they are using 1.1.1.1

Look 1.1.1.1 is nothing more than a dns resolver. It has 3 versions: 1.1.1.1 which allows all domains, 1.1.1.2 which blocks malware domains and 1.1.1.3 which blocks malware and adult content. So to disable/enable this filter you would need to change the dns ips.
And the filter you mean that you see on google/bing is not happening at dns level. For context: dns resolvers do nothing more than translating a domain into an ip address means there is no way it can block that. The adult content filter from 1.1.1.1 works simply by not resolving websites that are known for adult content. It cant block specific images.

Ok but in Google, that same filter, you can't turn it off when using this DNS resolver. And it doesn't just block the loading of external sites. It also hides the explicit web results themselves from within the Google search page. I searched it a bit and found this is done by directing www.google.com to forcesafesearch.google.com (and strict.bing.com for bing). But there is no equivalent for Reddit. You might think this is then Reddit's problem, but in that case Cloudflare's service does not fully achieve its (primary) goal of protecting children online. Probably the best thing they could (and should) do is contact reddit to see potential solutions to this problem.

Cloudflare's service does not fully achieve its (primary) goal of protecting children online

im sure this is not primary goal of cloudflare dns
