IMO use any S3 API provider you like, and https://github.com/mhart/aws4fetch in your Worker. Backblaze B2 would be my suggestion. It's $0.006/GB, or $0.012/GB if you want to do high availability by mirroring two buckets in different regions.

Add a lifecycle policy to the bucket that deletes files after 7 years.

Put each customer's files into like s3_bucket_name/customer_id_here/2025/10/31/23/epoch_time_here_uuid-of-event-here.jsons3_bucket_name/customer_id_here/2025/10/31/23/epoch_time_here_uuid-of-event-here.json. Then, when a customer wants say, the last two days of logs, you can do a ListObjectsV2 request to s3_bucket_name/customer_id_here/2025/10/30/s3_bucket_name/customer_id_here/2025/10/30/ and s3_bucket_name/customer_id_here/2025/10/31/s3_bucket_name/customer_id_here/2025/10/31/ to get all the JSON files of their events, which you can then use aws4fetch again to give the user presigned S3 URLs to download their events.

And lastly, definitely use gzip for compressing JSON events! The user's browser (or the Worker) will automatically decompress it as long as you set the content-encoding: gzipcontent-encoding: gzip when uploading.

Am I correct to assume that MessageChannel API is safe way to send events between different requests the worker is handling? For example letting 2 websocket clients that hit the same worker isolate talk to eachother is now possible? I kind of did something like this before but by polling a global value

(circumventing the "Cannot perform I/O on behalf of a different request." error)

Keep in mind that there is absolutely 0 guarantees you'll hit the same datacenter or even that there won't be multiple copies of a Worker running in a datacenter.

What are people's email sending service of choice to use with Workers? I know the closed beta of the new email product is coming this month, but don't wanna wait around too long for access. I will be sending around 100 emails a week, and the addresses will always be from the same set of users more or less (would prefer to not need a manual confirmation from users to be allowed to accept email from service). No plans to scale higher, so something with a free tier or something is best. The content will be a templated HTML or something similar depending what the service requires

Would it be against ToS to ingest a video stream (fMP4) from Stream using a DO and something like mp4box, then send the video frames as bytes over WebSockets to listening clients and then the clients re-create the streams using Media Source Extensions?

hey folks, new to the cf platform
have deployed a few static sites on the pages
but now when I tried to deploy something more, getting a bunch of errors
the app is in nextjs, fetches real estate info from a google sheet

so far tried to use edge runtime, nothing was on the depoyed URL
api routes work fine in local but becomes messy when I use functions, nothing loads on the app

used this guide - https://developers.cloudflare.com/workers/framework-guides/web-apps/nextjs/#deploy-an-existing-nextjs-project-on-workers
no luck with this as well, have been trying in local, the preview or run dev commands dont bring up the app in the respeactive port
shared the screenshot with project structure and errors as well

what else is missing or going wrong here, can anyone please help out to make this work with wrangler locally, then I will jump to the deployed one
please let me know what else do I need to share to give more context

Also apparently Windows 11 just isn't working with NTP sync. Also having DNS service dropping randomly for this computer. Idk just all around screwy. So I guess it's all on my end after all lmao.

Fixed that, had to re-register the w32tm service apparently even though it was acting normal otherwise. Good ol' Windows ig.

Hey folks, we're doing a little discovery on local debugging with local resources/bindings when building with wrangler, and looking for some feedback. If you've previously posted feedback on this kind of idea please link it to me in the thread I am sorry I haven't been here that long!

Do you ever have challenges with this? What do you typically do to check the state of your locally emulated CF resources when developing/seeding/resetting around stateful stuff. This would be using tools like D1, R2, DOs or KV, and having a local version of your application without using remote: trueremote: true.

Recently we came across this VS Code extension that allows you to view KV data locally. Has anyone tried this or tools that do similar jobs for D1 or other resources, I can think of a couple!
