sleep issue with gigabyte x870i
So background, new and attempting to switch over to linux from windows.

9070xt
gigabyte x870i pro ice
98003dx
issue: the pc cant sleep when it auto sleeps after the time limit. the pc at this point is useless. cant wake it, cant get video, or anything.
only solution is force off.

maybe i have fix putting the pc to sleep manually (maybe still testing) but the issue still keeps happening when it does it by itself. does anyone of this, have deeper insight, maybe know a more updated page, or anything regarding the pc not being able to sleep correctly?

idk if it’s fair to just say wake from sleep or suspend on all of linux is broken and work around it by shutting down lol
I’ve had a lot of Linux machines and lots of them are totally fine with wake/sleep/suspend, but some specific hardware can have problems
@BrotherO4 if you experience the crash on wake you can run ujust logs-last-boot and share them here so we can figure out what’s failing

also intresting is, i dont get the same issue with manural sleep that i do with auto. why/what would be the difference between the 2 sleeps
Might be suspend in one case. Also the logs you’re viewing have multiple pages, you can use arrow keys or page up down to navigate them. Try to go to the end of the logs

Bazzite had a nasty case of insomnia on my Gigabyte B550M DS3H
so this one says to do both 0 and 8
still the same issue.
manual sleep works but auto sleep doesnt.
i still dont understand why would there even be a difference between the 2 sleep.
what does power switch mean?
I've got an AORUS X870 and hadn't been having any issues with sleep mode, but I just updated to F43.20251102 from F42.20251019, and now sleep doesn't work at all in Desktop mode. The screen will dim for a few seconds, but not shut off, and then it'll just come right back. It still seems to work in gaming mode. I think they might've broken something in 43?
does manural sleep work like mine? is it only auto sleep you having issues with
any sleep at all in Desktop mode wouldn't work for me on F43.20251102
