R2 custom domain status stuck at "--" and 1014 CNAME across-User Banned Error Code
I’m encountering an issue when trying to attach my R2 bucket to a custom domain.
After adding my R2 custom domain, it begins initializing but the status changes to “--” within a few seconds, and visiting the URL shows:
Error 1014 Ray ID: 99d039c36900fd35
CNAME Cross-User Banned
Both the domain and the R2 bucket belong to the same Cloudflare account, and the DNS is fully managed under this account. The bucket works correctly via the default *.r2.dev endpoint, but the custom domain (cdn.mywebsite.com) fails with the 1014 error.
Could you please review and remove the cross-user restriction or confirm if the domain was previously flagged? I am the current and legitimate owner, and the R2 usage fully complies with Cloudflare’s Terms of Service.
