I'm running the latest Bazzite DX NVIDIA Open version with GNOME and I haven't changed any settings. All I've done is add my network shares (OneDrive, Google Drive, and a WebDAV folder) and for a while it worked great. However, about a week ago it started malfunctioning (maybe it was an update?)
Whenever I navigate into a network share, the entire Files application freezes up. It starts updating at maybe a frame every few seconds, but continues to be functional. However, if I browse deeper into a network share, or I open a folder like my OneDrive Documents with maybe ~90 files in it, then the entire program freezes completely and I have to force stop it. I've left it for half an hour without it unfreezing.
Meanwhile, browsing the network shares via the terminal or via other programs is snappy and works great. I have no issues like this outside of the actual GNOME Files application. This issue happens on all three of my network shares: OneDrive, Google Drive, AND WebDAV.
I checked my GNOME Files performance settings and they're all set to "On This Device Only" but even changing them does nothing. I'm really not sure what's wrong, and I'm about to try and pull this damn program up in a debugger to see wtf is happening.
Attached is a screencast showing how easy it is to freeze/crash, tested with OneDirve. Note how at first it is laggy, then it freezes completely.
How do I fix this?
