KDE bottom right system tray icons no longer expanding as of latest update (43.20251127)

The expected behavior when I click the wifi icon is that it expands and shows the quick little icon menu, instead it just highlights it. I will be rebasing in a bit to the previous patch to see if that fixes the issue. I'm on wayland open nvidia, unsure if this is a general kde issue or a bazzite one.

Another bug I got while trying to record this bug is that spectacle doesn't seem to output any video files when recording on wayland open nvidia (https://github.com/CachyOS/distribution/issues/283) seems to be a general issue with kde right now.

Rebasing to 43.20251114.1 didn't seem to fix it

after some fiddling, apparently just deleting and readding the system tray fixed the issue... very weird. closing this

It's a general kde plasma issue, something with wayland and nvidia not playing nice together

Resetting your configuration or restarting plasma temporarily fixes the issue, but it'll come back

I've also already tried to delete the config files to reset the desktop, either in terminal or directly with the gui (restore defaults), to no avail.

since the old non open driver does a lot of stuff in there

whereasthe new one uses the GPUs firmware which gets a lot of the stuff done that the old driver used to do by itself
