How do I run sunshine as service, so I can connect to the PC and then login?

I installed sunshine with ujust setup-sunshine and the connection works fine, when I'm logged in.

However, in my use case I need to connect to my PC remotely and log in.

I'm afraid this won't be possible because of the immutability of the OS, but maybe there is a solution for it?

You could send a login command tho but I am not sure how it would work without at least one login session. Remember the first login screen is ROOT so none is having an actual user session

If you loggin into your system and them lock the system by pressing SUPER+L you are now in a user session of SDDM

Btw you could remotely turn on your pc with a WOL container running in your network

Hmm... I have a different setup. My BIOS is configured to power on AC. I have an app for a smart power socket. So I turn on the power socket remotely (phone app) and the PC starts.

a bad power day can destroy your PC with something like that by getting power offs and the pc trying to turn on every time the power comes back

Expensive is not the same for everyone tho. Some people dont even know that UPSs are a must and dont even have them on their calculation for a PC

I get that but it’s like saying “people can’t afford a backup HDD.” That’s fine but then it’s just a ticking, more expensive time bomb. It’s important to communicate it’s not a “nice to have” but “essential” if they’re going to have this startup option enabled.

I respect everyone has budgets. But I also guarantee you 99% of people who can’t afford a UPS can’t afford to lose their computer either!

At the end of the day I’m communicating how it’s not insanely out of reach for most people and how it’s really important. I’m not trivializing the fact that people have different budgets.
