(New user) Existing Steam games on other drives
So i tried bazzite for funsies(and as a possible os to migrate to eventually) but i couldnt get skyrim se to launch, its moderately modded(~495mods) so reinstalling is technically out of the question in this instance. I tried Lutris with no luck, tried different proton versions(compatibility thingy) in steam with no luck and i couldnt figure how to add my other drive to the lutris version of steam(that emulates a windows enviroment or whatever the correct terminology is).
My hopes are to make the eventual migration process as painless as possible, with the intent that i can just continue playing the games i already have installed via windows, without the need to spend a week to make a game to launch(exaggerating a bit but you get the point).
I have a full AMD setup(5800X and 5700XT with 16Gb of ram). i have Bazzite on a m2 ssd and skyrim on a separate ssd(both are Samsung 860EVO, m2 is 250 and the ssd is 500gb).
Is reinstalling all steam games mandatory or are there tricks that i could use to make already installed games run via the steam that is included in Bazzite(which is able to add the existing libraries from other drives and see the games in those libraries)
outside of that issue, Bazzite seems very promising, but as a longtime windows user, im still bit stumped and lost with the enviroment.
Also, im using skyrim as an example here, but the "issue" does cover all games
Last time i've used any sort of linux distro was over a decade ago, in vocational school and i've forgotten just about everything
