immich_server continuously restarting

immich_server continuously restarting. docker logs indicate that the ${UPLOAD_LOCATION) is not being properly read.
It was running normally when I ran it on a folder in my internal laptop drive, but when I connect my SSD, it doesn't work.
Not sure what to do to fix this issue.
