hangs on login after first time install

Just installed Bazzitehgnome-nvidia-open on my Asus ROG Zephyrus duo 16 (gx650-rx) and after setting up secure boot and passing through disk encryption, i reach the login screen. I can enter my password and it just hangs? Freezes? Either way i dont get to see the desktop at all.
Not shure where to go from here. Ive never had issues at the login screen before
Oh and while typing this out on my phone it looks like it went into powersave mode, woke back up and claims a kernal panic
