Short Description:
An interactive FoundryVTT module to handle full Mongoose Traveller 2e character creation, including the option to choose race (Human or Robot), careers, assignments, events, skills, and connections.Long Description:
This module should fully implement Mongoose Traveller 2e character creation rules, supporting multiplayer term-by-term career progression, events, mishaps, skill acquisition, advancement, and mustering out. Creation begins with choosing race: Human or Robot, with robots replacing background/pre-career steps with frame, core systems, and module selection. All books will be provided upon hiring.The module should include:
1. Choose Your Race
- Human: standard background, characteristics, and optional pre-career education
- Robot: select frame, core systems (PRC, MOB, POW/END), and modules; replaces background/pre-career steps
2. Characteristics (Humans Only)
- Roll 2D6 per characteristic (STR, DEX, END, INT, EDU, SOC)
- Assign manually or randomly
- Automatically calculate Dice Modifiers
3. Background Skills (Humans Only)
- Apply EDU DM +3 skills
- Homeworld selection
4. Pre-Career Education (Optional, Terms 1-3, Humans Only)
- University or Military Academy paths
- Entry roll, skills, Pre-Career Events, graduation roll
5. Career Term Loop
- Career selection (Agent, Army, Citizen, Drifter, Entertainer, Marine, Merchant, Navy, Noble, Rogue, Scholar, Scout)
- Assignment selection per career
- Qualification Roll → Draft Table/Drifter fallback
- Basic Training and Assignment Skills
- Survival Roll → Mishaps if failed
- Event Roll (for robots, modified for systems/hazards)
- Skill Acquisition
- Advancement Roll (including forced exit if roll ≤ terms, and mandatory extra term if natural 12)
- Optional Commission for military careers
- Aging (with optional Antigathics for humans; maintenance/malfunctions for robots)
- Continue/Change/Muster Out decision
6. Muster Out
- Benefit and Cash rolls (max 3)
- Rank bonuses
- Pension and medical debt handling
7. Connections Rule
- Players can link events during creation
- Each connection grants 1 extra skill of choice per Traveller
- Max 2 skills per Traveller, cannot exceed level 3, Jack-of-all-Trades not allowed
8. Final Steps
- Group skill package selection
- Equipment purchase
- Medical debt resolution
- Finalize backstory, contacts, relationships
Additional Requirements
- Interactive UI for all rolls and choices (dice + chat integration)- Optional Characteristics from the Traveller Companion Book with reset macros
- Automatic and accumulative updates to character sheet
- "Backstory" tab listing all flavor text from rolling tables and items/boon/banes in chronological order
- Save/resume functionality in case of disconnection
- DM-only NPC button for randomly generated character sheets
- Compatible with Cepheus Twodsix Game System
- Optional visual term loop flowchart
