limited connection on startup

I'm having an issue where, every time I start up bazzite, I get a notification that my ethernet has limited connectivity. It works properly after disconnecting and reconnecting via the pop up window. I've followed a few guides online to try and solve this but I'm on the verge of going back to windows.
A few notes
Gigabit internet (DL between 10-116 MB/s)
It's a fresh install
Fast boot is off
MOBO - B650 gaming plus WiFi
GPU - Sapphire Pure 9070XT
CPU - 7600X
RAM - 32GB DDR5 6000 CL30
Storage - 1x 1tb WD BLACK SN850X 1x 2tb same
Secure Boot - Enabled
UEFI
Once I disconnect and reconnect I'm at full speed but it's driving me crazy that I have to do it every time.
Additional stuff
My HyperX cloud alpha's are intermittently crackling.
Steam freezes my whole system for up to 5 seconds at a time while using the steam app.
