EOS Overlay won't enable, no matter what

I'm having trouble playing opening any games from Epic games. I read that the EOS overlay needs to be installed so I did that and it is installed as per the settings. However when I click the 3 dot menu on any epic game it won't let me enable the overlay. It says enable EOS overlay but when clicked nothing happens. I read you might have to download corefonts or something in winetricks but my winetricks doesnt even come up with any components at all. Changing Proton versions also did nothing.
At the moment I just can't play any Epic games because of this. Is there a solution anywhere that I havent tried yet? Thanks https://0x0.st/PLlW.log
