I just got a band new MT-50CM2, but I am encountering a problem when using TARGET (I still have the old Warthog) and i need to program it and the stick in concert. All works, except the POV HAT, which in the thrustmaster combined virtual joystick that results from the script, it always displays P...
Sorry if I missed it being mentioned somewhere, but whatβs the plan for this and comparability with other flight sims (personally mainly thinking of IL2 BoX)?
Afaik it uses directx force feedback and has basically the same compatibility with games as the Sidewinder. Does the game support ffb sticks? Yes? -> works with the Rhino
I have a question that's going to be even more relevant when I'll be ordering the Rhino base (in 2 months hopefully) and that is: how hard would it be to encapsulate the belt in some cover and would it bring some negative side effects?
I do have a dog and as side effect a lot of its hair all over the place. On the current VKB GF base I wipe the rubber cover clean every day and that got me a bit worried that the hairs might get into the belt/pulley mechanism as they are on the "outside" of the base. If I would for example 3D print some covers and place them over the belts to ensure they are fully encapsulated, would that be introducing a possible fault point?
It saves a lot of time, material and complexity having the load bearing parts of the mechanism double as the case for the motors and electronics with the only drawback being some exposed moving belts. Which isn't as much of a concern on this type of device compared to constantly rotating mechanisms in an industrial setting. Although I don't know what his reasoning is, this is only based on my very limited CAD/CAM experience.
