Connecting over Tailscale
I am using immich through tailscale. I did nothing special or different from the regular setup. I have magicDNS enabled on tailscale which enables me to use machine-name instead of tailscale ip. In my case, I access Immich on my phone at http://machine-name:port/api

Yes, I did. Looking at the logs, it says - Provided device doesn't support required NVENC features - 10 bit encode not supported.
I guess that is my hardware is not capable (I have NVIDIA Quadro P600)?

Yeap. That was the discussion I was referring to in my question. The solution that worked for that OP was adding the config directly to the docker-compose.yml instead of using the hwaccel.yml. That post was related to Intel QuickSync, so I thought I might create a separate thread for Nvidia. Would you like me to continue my questions there?

I am not aware of any tool that can do that. But hell, even I have an immense collection of that garbage pictures. lol

I think deleting media after uploading (directly from the hard drive using other tools) can mess up the database or something. I know it is not recommended. I did everything before I uploaded it to immich

Immich does not have a duplicate finder. But what I did when I was at the same stage as you was using apps like dupeguru, czkawka, or even digikam. I personally used dupeguru and digikam, and they are great.
