Hi all,

Same issue on my Samsung S23 Snapdragon by the way. @Azsde are you shooting HEIC/HEIF by any chance instead of JPEG? My S23 suffers from this GH issue https://github.com/immich-app/immich/issues/2128 where heic's take really long do display in the timeline (whereas JPEGs are quite fast) (so I use the "use remote assets" workaround). Maybe it is related to this thumbnail generation problem.

Any chance you're trying to run this in a mounted Google drive folder? (The path you give implies so). If so, that might be problematic

I assume the questions means albums in albums in immich itself (i.e. to replicate the folder structure of file system pictures)

There's no albums in albums or nested folder-like structure, just a single level of albums. It's a common feature request on GitHub discussion though

DNG previews brightness too low and wrong orientation
looks like the left image is the HDR "JPG" produced by the iphone that is probably embedded in the DNG. Not sure if immich would be able to use this embedded preview. I don't think it's a developed/interpreted RAW because no raw developer would brighten up the shadows that much on its own.

Duplicates uploaded from android app
The location data in the +1 sample was removed (might be due to google photos etc). The hashes are dfferent
MD5 (PXL_20230423_074145994.jpg) = c4764491e613cd5714cc979fb85daedf
MD5 (PXL_20230423_074145994+1.jpg) = a3cef4975dacb9836a5a8c9f4ad3a48e
