Modifying the external image library directory has caused errors with the Recycle
As a result of directly modifying the import path within the external image library management, the Recycle Bin has become dysfunctional for both deletion and restoration operations.
The Recycle Bin currently displays images as offline files, indicating that:
(The external library item is no longer located on the disk and has been relocated to the Recycle Bin. If the file has been moved internally within the library, please verify the corresponding item in the timeline. To restore this item, ensure that Immich can access the specified file path and execute the "Scan Library" task.)
Issues:
Will the original directory images be automatically deleted after 30 days? (Immich lacks the necessary permissions to delete the original directory images due to the absence of a mount point.)
The Recycle Bin is currently non-functional for both restoration and deletion operations.
Even after adding the original path library (mounting the original directory), the restoration and deletion functionalities remain unavailable.
I intend to empty the Recycle Bin, but I wish to preserve the original directory images. How can I achieve this?
Feature Suggestion:
The import path within the external image library management should be immutable once it is added. It should only be possible to unmount and then re-add the path.
---------------------------------
Testing revealed that after mounting the directory, the Recycle Bin was able to successfully delete images within it. Nevertheless, the Recycle Bin continued to display these images as being offline.
But the recovery function cannot be used
----------------------------------
The recycle bin is displayed as offline project:
/usr/src/app/external/Photos/MobileBackup/M2007J1SC/DCIM/Camera/2024/10/IMG_20241005_090230.HEIC
.vev
EXTERNAL_PATH=/volume2/homes/damo (/volume2/homes/damo/Photos/ )
External gallery, directory verification successful
