Update or clean install v1.122.1: password authentication failed for user "postgres"
Finally! You are the savior Daniel, I owe you one 🙂 Things are fine again, got to go through one more round of TBs of data scan, but it's worth it!
Learned something new today. My mistake was considering something outside the official documentation to setup immich on Portainer (Also missed env_file: stack.env).(face_palm) 😫

Update or clean install v1.122.1: password authentication failed for user "postgres"
My mistake anyways! Is it recommended to setup everything at once? Or can I first do the basic setup and add hardware acceleration at a later point of time?

I think i found this piece on one of the forums while searching to enable hardware acceleration.
environment:
- NODE_ENV=production
- DATABASE_URL=postgresql://${DB_USERNAME}:${DB_PASSWORD}@database/${DB_DATABASE_NAME}
- TRANSCODE_HWACCEL=quicksync

Update or clean install v1.122.1: password authentication failed for user "postgres"
Sorry, a bad habit 🙂 Stopped the stack, deleted the volume folder content, redeployed. I'm still seeing the same error in immich_server logs.

Update or clean install v1.122.1: password authentication failed for user "postgres"
A small clarification please. As I'm on portainer, the corresponding approach is stop all the containers in the stack, delete the postgres folder content and then re-deploy the stack? Should i also delete the postgres container?

Yes, I've cleared everything and started fresh. I'm on synology NAS, setup immich on portainer stack.

Thanks for responding @Daniel . I did not do any changes on the fresh install, the initial setup itself is failing now with this error.

Please let me know if more details are needed. I've also tried changing username to something else, the error message still shows "postgres". I'm on portainer if it helps.
