Host DB on network NAS but main container on another device?
had issues moving my files around so i just redid it from scratch starting with the smb mount and it seemed to work better.

I see. I think I already have wire guard and tail scale setup as endpoints back to the LAN. I was hoping for another way, it looks like a reverse proxy might require a domain which I don't have at the moment.
