Something else to note could be that my data folder has all the mods buried
data/mods/8.8.0tekxit/mods/<all_mods>

I didn't check world files for corruption as I'm not sure how to check that, any other generated files that I should check?

why would my mods be out of sync between client and server if both are downloaded from the same source and have the same modpack version
I've seen that thread as well, disabling the two mods it talks about doesn't seem to change anything

doesn't look like the issue was really solved in that post from what I can see, they just moved their mods out and back into a folder?
