Do I understand it right. People only use Immich as a Backup solution, but not as a cloud solution exactly as google Photos so they have no problems with their storage on the device?

So I have to delete the files in Immich? I copied my Photos on a HDD and then proceeded to delete the entire folder on my smartphone. Immich then showed a "!" sign and it dropped from 14k saved files to 10k.

When my first disk crashes, I can still copy the Database and the library safes from the second to a third disk, so I dont screw anything up on my normal safe i guess...

Hello guys. I am looking into restic rn. But it is really complicated, especially because I dont know which files exactly I should backup, as there is no real tutorial for noobs. Therefore, what do I have to keep in mind if I am just using the dumpall and rsync commands via crontab? Is it fine to just keep them, and ask an expert when it comes to restoring them?
