Automatic upload of photos from phone?
This is a really elementary question but I can't figure it out. What options or albums should I choose on the mobile app to have photos uploaded to the server more or less as I take them?
If I select "Recents" there are two problems (0r 25,001, depending on how you count). The first is that there are about 25,000 photos in that album, including all kinds of crap from whatsapp and so on. I only want pictures taken with the camera.
The second problem — related — is that the upload appears to be incredibly slow. Even when I remove the "Recents" library from the list of things to sync and select some recent photos by hand none of them appear on the main server. That has been populated already with Google takeouts, so there will be considerable duplication if the phone is trying to upload all the pictures in my Google account.
Hmm. If I could manually set up an album for "All pictures taken with the camera after ${end of takeout date}" that might solve the problem, but how to do that?
