Perhaps if I used the internal IP address for the server, rather than the external DNS name? How can I change that in the mobile app?

Killing the "recents" album brought the total down to around 750 pictures. But it is still incredibly slow, on a fast connection: the "Uploading File info" screen shows them being uploaded at 1.97 KB/s, which is absurd.

Thanks. I have no idea where all those images came from, except that a lot of them are from "media" folders, and so presumably cached from web sites
