AV1 Webm Video stuck or stuttering
Recently I wanted to watch a AV1 Video in 4k, no matter if in mp4 or webm format, it will always stutter or even stuck no matter which player I use. SMplayer only stutters badly while vlc and firefox stuck at some point. I use an Intel Arc 750 and Intel 11400 i5 CPU with 16 gb ram should be enough power. Perhaps you can point me in a direction, may not be blendOS specific but perhaps more wayland or so, thanks in advance
Optix Not included with Nvidia Driver
I know I sound spoiled - since one of my favorite things about this project is included Proprietary Nvidia Drivers! But one significant requirement wrt any computer graphics app nowadays is Optix support
Nvidia GPU multiboot issue
After installing BlendOS the system boots fine. The issue occurs every other time of booting after this first time. I have 2 SSDs in my computer, one that has Windows 10 installed & one that has BlendOS installed. I get this error when trying to boot
[FAILED] error failed to start generate locales using locale-gen. After looking for solutions online the issue seems to be something to do with locale-gen failing to execute due to the read-only file system. When run manually it shows the error that it cannot create a temporary file it needs.
I found this thread on the TuxDigital community forum.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this as a user or what I can do to help the devs fix this?...I've just tried Blend OS and I have some noob questions
1. Why isn't the KDE screenshot tool pre-installed but Electron25 is?
2. How to I install input methods like Fcitx5 or IBus?
3. How to remove Electron25 and other pre-installed software that I don't need?
4. How do I install Power Profile for KDE Plasma?...

Hey Guys, Recently switched from Mint to BlendOS.
I am a musician and have hooked up a M-Audio fw1814 Interface connected via VIA:D Firewire Card to my PC. For these cards to control all of their in and output channels you have to use the program ffado.
Now on each boot when the pc was not in use for longer, ffado would not run no matter if in pipewire on blendos or pulse audio/Alsa/Jack on mint. The errors always were something like no dbus connection, unfortunately I forgot to take a screenshot and now cant reproduce it. Had to reboot then ffado worked like it should.
Since yesterday, Jan 5, the issue isn't present at all on Blendos.
No matter how long the PC is shut off even if its totally disconnected from power, ffado works at every boot. Now I want to desperately know why this works now, I tried to solve it for years and now it fixed itself somehow....
Error setting up Blend OS v4 Alpha

VirtualBox kernel driver not installed
VirtualBox boot fails reports kernel drivers not installed. Blendos reports you may not install any Linux softwares while attempting sudo system install Linux-headers. Any tips? #VirtualBox 7

So it looks like all of the containers by default have access to the home folder. is there a way to spin up a container the does not have access to home? like to test suspicious web sites or programs?

The reason for this is too enable click to open links inside a container in the terminal. It will also allows apps which need external authentication for extensions like Visual Studio Code to work properly....
How to save the Podman containers Blend v3
So it looks like I some how lost my podman container. Specifically a Syncthing container I created. I presume the layer was deleted after a reboot. I think I missed a step. Is there a way that I can manually create a podman container that can survive a reboot?

Manual Podman containers in the BlendOS Settings panel?
So I've managed to get Syncthing setup its own Podman container and I was just curious if there was a way for that container to show up with the rest of the Blended Linux containers?

Failed to start hostname.service: Unit hostname.service not found
I am installing the recent version of blendOS kde onto a laptop that fits the minimum requirements. The live environment always hangs at the
starting hostname service thingymabob, so I loaded into the TTY and tried to start it myselft. But, no dice.
I also tried to boot the xfce version, but that one failed at the same thing....
Cannot install ubuntu container (V4)
Running BlendOS V4, everytime I try to install an ubuntu 22.04 container in blendos settings, the file is downloaded but it always fails to install. An error message appears on screen for only 5 seconds and i havent been able to copy paste it, but it says something lke 'insufficient UIDs or GIDs in the user namespace'. I have tried running sudo akshara update and rebooting to no avail
