SMM can't find ficsit.app

For some reason starting up SMM gives me an error showing it can't connect to ficsit.app. This is where I would make a post about this right? Oh, and here's my debug as well.
Solution:
I'm guessing so, I didn't change anything, so it really was something on SMM's network side after all. Thanks to you all who helped me out and those that looked into it. I really appreciate it.

The Oeil-De-Beouf FX 8x4 does not zoop correctly, setting a new one every 4 instead of 8. This does not occur with the other types of buildables in the Oeil-De-Beouf class....

Crash on using Efficiency Checker

When using the efficiency checker pipes as the client the host of the server crashes

Why did this happen?

I've been crashing a lot, and it appears to have something to do with saves, as it most often happens when the game is autosaving. This time in particular was when I saved and reloaded to fix an audio bug that was causing permanent Constructor noises. The game didn't even begin to entertain this idea, and crashed as soon as I tried to load it

Magic Splitter Question

Is there a way to PREVENT a Magic Splitter from sending items to the input of a machine if there is already a conveyor belt attached to an input? It is distinctly ODD to have items appearing in an input buffer even when the source via a belt has been stopped. Also, I * believe * that is what is causing my huge lag issues.
Solution:
I don't think there is a way to do this; my understanding is that the point of the mod is to not need to connect any input belts. And yes it's probably not very performant, afaik they work anywhere on any machine? That's an expensive operation

Game crashes when creating world

i keep crashing when trying to create a new world
Solution:
It's Ficsit-Network crashing. IIRC, you have to install it after you created your new save file

Something went wrong with ModUpdateNotifier

All I did was hit update in the SMM and I got this:

As far as I know Satisfactory did not update to 1.1...
Solution:
Well... I closed the error dialog and it said no more updates. I turned off mods and it showed some extraction progress. I turned mods on again and barely any progress was shown. I closed SMM and relaunced it, nothing extra was said. Launched game and no complaints. Guess all is dandy now.

does my friend need to have mod manager installed to play with me on my modded server?

basically title, ig do they also need to have the same mods installed?
Solution:
In general, assume all players need the same set of mods installed to play together. There are some exceptions. Learn about those exceptions, and how to identify if mods are multiplayer compatible, here: https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/faq.html#MultiplayerSupport

Rename Everything

Playing on a server with a friend, and neither of us are able to rename anything. Is there an option somewhere to change that or a text doc I need to alter?

Everything is a flex spline!

I've been using Flex Splines recently, and it's really good, except for one problem: everything is a flex spline.
