How boring is Programming in the long run, (Career wise)? Yes this is a serious question.

Is just going to be black interface screens, and coding exclusively? Sitting at a desk for 8 hours non-stop? Do I ike coding..? Sure, do I like it for 8 hours..? HELL NO! Be brutally honest. I was accepted into the CPA program, along with CTY, and CSN....

What's the difference between Newham and International academy? (for CPA/CPP)

I applied for fall 2023 CPA/CPP at the Newham campus and just got an email that it is full. Only SIA has seats for fall 2023 CPA/CPP. So, I want to know for CPA/CPP what's the difference between Newham and International academy? (ex: course, teacher, environment, etc.) Could International academy students select Newham's offline courses?...

Why is my program saying I didn't implement my friend insertion operator?

I'm getting a linker error, even though I'm pretty sure I implemented the friend operator correctly.

Accepted to CPA, CYT, and CSN for May 2023 (Mature Student Status)

Hello everyone, so I am 33 and want to go back to college. I have prior University education not related to IT, CS, or programming. I d have readable knowledge on the subjects though, and worked in one IT company in a administrative role. I have a strong long term interest, and the time is right. I am currently registered in some Cisco Networking Academy Courses, and self-teaching introductory level python, ruby, and C via library books and my PC. I have virtual studio code downloaded to my windows, and have the Linux extension for for my chromebook. I am trying to prepare. My question is that I have the option to take this full-time but I need to be able to work and take care of myself, plus pay my tuition out of pocket, (OSAP is not an opition right now) but I plan on apply for some entry level scholarpships and future scholarships and bursaries. Is it posible to work at least part-time, and study full-time without my academics suffering..? I also will be looking forward to gaining more income through co-op. My only alternative would be to take CPA or CSN on part-time evening status through continuing education and work full-time during the day. I would do it year round with no summer breaks. 3-4 classes at a time. I could finish around the same time it would take if I was full-time, the only thing is there is no co-op for part-time option. Would not taking co-op but still networking and applying for related jobs in CPA, CYT, CSN be a huge mistake? I don't have my parents to fall back on here, so I appreciate realistic advice taking this into consideration....

fall 2023 CPA is full. what do i do πŸ’€

I applied for fall 2023 CPA at Newham campus, and just got an email that it is full. I am considering applying for CPP but it doesn't have coop. It's very important to me to start exactly in fall 2023 (fleeing from russia), but I guess I maybe could wait till winter. I do know that CPA is also available at international academy campus but the building looks kinda ugly and I don't really wanna be put in fully international student environment (maybe I am wrong about the environment, just guessing...

KVM switch recommendations

Looking for a KVM switch for 4 computers. Was browsing Amazon earlier, seems like they all got mixed reviews. Wondering if anyone has a good experience with a particular KVM switch. Preferably from Amazon.

Favorite Component Frameworks?

What do you guys use for your web projects? I usually stick to google's Material UI as it looks pretty professional but wanna spice things up for a new project I am starting. https://mui.com/...

What laptop do you use for CPPCPA?

I’m buying a new windows laptop, I have a MacBook now, it’ll be helpful to know what you guys recommend for the program and the specs.

I've been a dedicated Mac user all my life, but apparently Windows is better for CPA. Which one tho?

I saw a reddit thread where everyone was recommending Windows for CPA/CPP, even mac users. I know nothing about Windows laptops...so which one? I also do UX design on the side, if that matters. My budget is $4000.
