Games added to steam not using steam overlay

I recently set up my new pc, and installed fortnite with heroic games expecting the steam overlay to work as it has on my previous machine. Unfortunatley, this was not the case for some reason and steam always thinks the game is closed, which is why i switched to heroic in the first place since that's what it would do with any game added from the epic launcher. Journey from EPIC game store crashes with page fault on read access to 0x000000007ffff000

how can i use steam-style launch options?

i want to use this launch option for borderlands 2: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="ddraw=n,b" %command%, but The %command% syntax from Steam is not valid as game arguments. i do have steam installed if i can somehow launch an epic store game from there. what can i do? it looks like an env variable but env variable usually have a file path

I am unable to run any games through Heroic Launcher version 2.9.0

I just got a steam deck and I have installed Heroic Games Launcher, however whenever I try to install and play a game through the launchers, it doesn't load. As an example, I am trying to install Cristales, and I am using Wine-GE-Latest. After installation, I exit and enter the game page and I get the following: ```An error has occurred! GOG Sign in not working as intended
