Project update 5.5 - 5.6, Project Library issues
Hey y'all, I updated a project from 5.5 to 5.6. Looking in the dash content I can see my project library but It's not refreshing for me to do any new tagging/computing? Does anyone know of a fix? I don't wanna waste the roughly 8000 ai tags on this project😇

Just installed dash to 5.4 and 5.5. It works in 5.4.4 but not 5.5.4. The plugin shows up, but when I initialize, it does nothing. Help please
Custom Tagging
Hi. I was wondering if it would be possible to for the user to tweak the AI prompt for generating tags. For example, I have lots of Maxtree vegetation assets which i would like to categorize automatically by type and the predominant continent/country where they are found. Ideally, I would also like to have tags of the asset in a different language. The latin name of the species is always in the name of the Maxtree asset so it should be simple to for AI to include predefined tags for type and loc...

Hey guys o/ I did a scene last night and used dash to scatter trees around. Saved and went to bed. Tonight I 'm taking back the project and looks like the scatter has been baked somehow, I can't edit it anymore. That's really not convenient. Is that expected? or do I do something wrong maybe?

Is there a way to do a surface scatter, but only within a limited area of the surface?
Asset without materials form external project
Sometimes when I try to access an external library and bring a mesh, it only brings the static mesh without any materials imported and assigned. Is there a fix for this?
Not able to edit tools
Hey folks - I have had this problem pop up many times for quite a while. I reopen a project and my ability to edit a DashToolsOutput item is gone. I am not 100% sure, but I think it may be happening after a crash, and more specifically, if I was editing the Dash actor while it crashed. Not 100% sure.
spline point distance
when using curve tool and i see you draw a curve. default is always 10.
i saw someone using shift or ctrl to drag adjust the count in this mode?
is there a prerequisite to get this to work. or is it buggy?
i cant adjust or add other points. both in dash and in landscape mode and add spline layer, its the same. i cant add with shift like i see in videos.
but i can use ALT to duplicate a point from a point. ...
Higher Density
I applied a scatter to a landscape but it wasn't dense enough. It forces me to use a table for a landscape, and I can't push the density any higher than 1. How can I increase the number of rocks I am spreading on the landscape?

Hey folks - I am having some trouble with the asset browser. I am unable to select more than one Material at a time - which is making it impossible to create compound materials. When I select meshes it's fine, but materials... no matter what I do, when attempting to select more than one material, it always deselects the selected material and selects the next material. First I select one material, and then when I hold down control, all of the other materials become grayed out, so I cannot select...
Material Question
is anyone here specialized in the anti-aliasing methods for unreal engine 5 (5.4.4 ) default is TSR , others are taa,fxaa,msaa
taa/tsr = temporal (frame analized) msaa (with forward shading) is per pixel based,
using msaa is only one way i can avoid the temporal smearing we all loathe (view port is blurry while moving)
with using MSAA and not the defered method, the material setup is rather limited and basic. however i can still get RVTs working however the material options kinda bug out depending on what format you spawn static meshes with those materials (landscapelayer grass not ok, foliage tool ok.... go figure) . anways. question is. the dash material pipeline can this work with MSAA ?
mainly the material blend tool from materials and RVT setup ?...
Reload project Scatters looks different
Hi - when I reload a project, my surface scatters regenerate differently each time. Is there a way to lock it from doing that, so that it stays the same. each time?

I'm buildings separate projects for different kinds of assets to help speed up where I look for assets using DASH. I've deleted some Folders/Collections in UE but DASH seems to still have indexes for those assets. What's the best way to purge those indexes for a project?
Okay. Jumping back into Dash, this time
Okay. Jumping back into Dash, this time doing deep dives into various features. This first post relates to "Surface Scatter". Struggling with a few things here and looking for advice. I've read through the docs on this and watched a few videos. Nothing seems to answer what I am encountering.
1) I'm having trouble keeping the Tools Panel in the viewing area of the screen. It keeps jumping up above, so that it is impossible to access the upper portion of the window. I finally figured out that if I drag the UE window down to the lower part of the screen, it will pop down like it is following it. But as soon as I max the UE window again, it jumps back to the top. I've tried moving it, "X" it and then reopening, and making the Tools Panel smaller. Nothing seems to work. This is very frustrating when needing to access the upper section of the window.
2) I created several (5-6) surface scatters in my level and tried to rename them. But every time I edit one of them (the actors), it immediately changes the name back to "Surface Scatter". Is there any way to tag them so that I know which one is which, and so that it keeps those names after editing?...
