Data gets deleted all the time

Hi, I have an client that uploaded more that 1000 images yesterday and now its all gone and back to how it was before. The auto backup does not show anythin either as the backup is from 5 hours ago and the edits was made around 16 hours ago. This is not first time eaither. Frontend is on lovable. Is there anyone in supabase support here? We would really need to try and find an backup from that time

ap-southeast-1 Storage API very slow

Hey guys, Is anyone experiencing performance issues in the ap-southeast-1 region with the Storage API, more specifically the /storage/v1/object/move endpoint? Requests are taking ~30s to complete, and the failure rate has increased as well. It's been like this for more than 24 hours now. There's nothing in the Supabase alerts page, so I wonder what might be going on....

I’m vibecoding with lovable and I’m not a dev. Lovable “try to fix” feature is messing even more with my edge functions and I’ve no idea how to fix it by myself nor want to do by myself once I paid for support (I know that I may mess even more with it if I try to fix)

Permission issues when working on QA DB Branch - ERROR: 42501: must be owner of table objects.

Hello #help-and-questions - hope you can assist! I created a branch from main for purpose of cloning the DB and using the branch for QA. Not sure this is the best practice, but that is what Cursor recommended. When trying to apply migrations, ONLY for the storage bucket RLS policies - I got this error: ERROR: 42501: must be owner of table objects I tried both direct SQL, and CLI - both get the same error. Manually writing the policies works - the problem is that there are many policies that I am cloning, and I don't want to do it manually....

I would like to connect to my local database MCP in vscode but can't figure out how. I saw someone made a thread about it a while ago but didn't get an answer - curious if there's some way of doing this. The docs seem to be giving instructions for hosted databases.

Baselining Migrations -- Local

Hey Supabase community , I'm having some difficulties creating a baseline migration for my databse. i'm developing locally with supabase running in docker. so far , i've been making direct supabase edits via postgres to update and evolve my data model and schema. i want to reset my migration history and i thought it would have been as easy as dumping the complete schema after my direct edits and then using that as the baseline migration file...but i tried that and ran into migration errors becasue the complete dump also dumped all the schema outside of 'public' that i don't control like the 'auth' schema , 'storage', 'Realtime' and others. So i thought, maybe if i dumped just the public schema, then that would work as a baseline mgiraiton file. But running that ALSO failed regarding all the extensions that i had enabled .......so at this point i was really freaking out because i had ran "npx supabase reset" all my data and progress WIPED but migrations were failing. but thanfully i could restore the databse from the dumped schema file directly so that was a huge save. The direct restore simply restored the tables that didn't exist and skipped the ones that did and i didn't control..... So the main questions is , now that my database is restored, how do i properly baseline my migration history ? Secondly, what are best practices for using "npx supabase db reset" ?? is that command only suppoasded to be run at the start of a project? becaseu if i can't use a baseline migration file wiht extensionis, it means everytime i run "npx supabase db reset" all my extnesions are dropped and i would have to re-enable and reconifugre....is that command only suppsoed to be run at the start of a project? or is there a way to create complete baseline migration file so anytime i run that command, my database is restored to the most desired state. ...

Remote dashboard vs local dashboard

Is the Studio code the same used for remote and local instances? I'm looking forward to contribute to supabase but I don't completly understand if changes made to supabase/studio code also impact on the remote dashboard once deployed. Since they are different in functionalities I thought there might be a different code base for both of them?

Does any one know how to update the users first/last name in the Authentication > Users management

Does any one know how to update the users first/last name in the Authentication > Users management. THey are created when my users are created, however the users names within my app are managed in a profiles table. I cant see how i can update the users that exist within "Authentication > Users management"
