Asus TUF Gaming x470 not POSTing with last bios release and 5800XT installed
So, as the title says, just isn't working. Roomie wanted to update computer before he has to buy a new one, but after I updated the BIOS to the last version released with the old 2700X, the 5800XT just isn't booting. I've tried everything so far.
PS2 FreeHDBoot no option to format HDD
I followed this guide, method 1 https://youtu.be/T55dWmn4-k4 to install FreeHDBoot on my Hard drive (NTFS, 1TB), but in the extras menu of FMCB, there is no option to format my HDD. If i press the Install FHDB button, i get a "cleanup failed" error message, then a "file not found". I am using a GameStar SATA Network adapter. What can i do to resolve or sidestep this issue?
How To Separate Audio Tracks on Dual PC Setup?
I'm currently working on a dual PC setup for streaming and recording.
I am using an Elgato Capture Card for video, and Elgato wave link for audio.
Currently the Streaming PC has the Audio and Video from the gaming PC. That audio includes multiple tracks (Game, Mic, Voice Chat, Music, etc) is there any way to have these sent separately to the streaming PC for recording and video editing purposes?...

Just trying to get the old 486 pc online if anyone would be able to recommend a suitable ATA device? Not really looking for a WiFi serial card, moreso im trying to see if I can recreate a semi-authentic full dialup/POTS setup, that’s why I was looking for an ATA. Weird high noise on left speaker no matter what
a few days ago i started hearing a high frequent noise on the left side of my headphones. i also hear it on my speakers (i have an aux splitter so my speakers and headphones have sound at the same time)
i usually use my internal soundcard but to find the culprit i tried my mic and dac x6 for ruling out the soundcard. the high noise were present on all 3 soundcards.
then i switched out my headphones and the noise is still there....
Used HP mini wifi connects, but no data
Got a used HP Prodesk Mini. Confirmed wifi card and antenna wires inside. It connects to my 5GHz network, but no data actually comes through. Tried installing HP's drivers, but no change.
Ethernet is acting a little weird too, seemingly 100Mbps at one point and then 1Gbps...
Not sure what I should do at this point to troubleshoot further....
ffmpeg decent bitrate for multiple resolutions and frame rates
hi there, i want to create a ffmpeg script that will convert a folder full of videos from 1080p to 2160p and 24fps to 240fps
is there a way to make tweak the ffmpeg script to never go bellow 10Mbps but if it needs 30Mbps it uses it? for example 4k120fps
another thing is that ive been noticing that my gopro night footage gets compressed way more and the ffmpeg lowers the bitrate way too much, for example, the original bitrate was 40Mbps and it compressed to 4Mbps while the same camera footage but during daytime, it compressed to 20Mbps....
OBS/Camlink4K/Sony Alpha a6400 - Struggling with settings
Hi! I have a Sony Alpha a6400 hooked up to my computer with the CamLink 4k and being pulled into OBS Studio (31.1.2). My computer is a Lenovo Legion (Intel Core i9-14900HX, 2200 Mhz, 24 Cores) with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070.
I livestream to YouTube with educational videos and Q&A's. I keep having this issue where I plug in the capture card and start OBS, and then all the scenes that use the capture card video are just a black screen. Sometimes if I wait, it'll start displaying, but other times I can't get it to ever show up. Today I ran out of time to troubleshoot before my live and had to use my webcam lol.

A380 Render Times
Hi All, i have a Arc A380 in a dedicated streaming/recording PC and the Average time to render frames seems high. When just rendering a basic screen cap scene the render time is about 1.9ms, when I start recording it jumps to around 7-9ms is this normal for AV1, or do i have another issue i need to investigate? There are no missed or skipped frames just the higher than expected frame render time. Any insights is greatly appreciated.
OBS Crash, W10, i9, 4060, 48Go RAM

So I am curious what thoughts are on streaming and recording at the same time with OBS. More specifically if you prefer doing a double wide scene for a face cam and gameplay for recording or using something like source record? Computer posts, sends audio to interface loads video then no display [Solved?]
For some reason, unplugging my monitor and plugging it back in made Windows no longer detect it. I know the monitor still works and GPU still works because it shows the Gigabyte boot loadup but windows just decided not to show to the monitor.

Sony Handycam 8
My father passed away and I’m trying to work on the A/V for the service. His wedding is on tape from a Handycam 8 (CCD-TR66 NTSC). What would be the easiest way to capture that video to a digital file? I do have the camcorder, direct power converter, and the video/mono out cable.
512 Tempest Mic - Too Loud
My friend has a 512 Tempest Microphone, and even though the gain knob is just slightly turned on (around 5-10% from off) and he's about 18 inches away form the mic, the audio is so loud that without a compressor he is clipping/close to clipping. It plugged directly into his computer, so there isn't an audio interface involved.
I tested the mic at my house, and did not have this issue. I had the gain knob around 35-40% and sat about 6 or less inches away. So I don't think it's a mic issue, but I'm not sure what we're overlooking. If anyone can provide some direction, it would be much appreciated....
OBS Twitch stream always blurry
Specs: 7800x3D, 7800xt, 32GB 6600 RAM
I play Warzone at 1440p. I've tried downscaling with bicubic and lanczos, 1664x936p and 1080p, x264, different bitrates from 6k-15k, and even the "secret sauce" video which introduced legitimate stuttering in stream. Just looking for any help to make the stream clearer and smoother.
If push comes to shove I have a laptop that I can set up a dual pc setup with but I'd rather not....
