OBS/Camlink4K/Sony Alpha a6400 - Struggling with settings

Hi! I have a Sony Alpha a6400 hooked up to my computer with the CamLink 4k and being pulled into OBS Studio (31.1.2). My computer is a Lenovo Legion (Intel Core i9-14900HX, 2200 Mhz, 24 Cores) with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070. I livestream to YouTube with educational videos and Q&A's. I keep having this issue where I plug in the capture card and start OBS, and then all the scenes that use the capture card video are just a black screen. Sometimes if I wait, it'll start displaying, but other times I can't get it to ever show up. Today I ran out of time to troubleshoot before my live and had to use my webcam lol. I attached the properties I have on the source....

OBS Studio Skipped Frames Due to Encoding Lag

Can anyone help me look at this log and tell me where I am getting my Encoding Lag?

A380 Render Times

Hi All, i have a Arc A380 in a dedicated streaming/recording PC and the Average time to render frames seems high. When just rendering a basic screen cap scene the render time is about 1.9ms, when I start recording it jumps to around 7-9ms is this normal for AV1, or do i have another issue i need to investigate? There are no missed or skipped frames just the higher than expected frame render time. Any insights is greatly appreciated.

OBS Crash, W10, i9, 4060, 48Go RAM

Hello folks, i encounter theses days a lot of crash when i switch from scene to scene or when i close OBS, and i would like to understand why. I tried to use the OBS Log Analyser but the analyser doesn't handle critical issues atm. so i cannot provide a url from it. I will ink the txt file in the attachment of this post.

Streaming and Recording

So I am curious what thoughts are on streaming and recording at the same time with OBS. More specifically if you prefer doing a double wide scene for a face cam and gameplay for recording or using something like source record? If you do a double wide I would assume that is more for recording purposes. Source record is nice, but I have always had issue with either the encoder starting to overload or OBS just crashing. I am really just curious how people do edits with things like their face cam fo...

Single‑ and Dual‑PC Issues With OBS Recording

(I tried to keep this as short as possible, so let me know if you need more details.) I have a dual‑PC setup and also use consoles. On my gaming PC I use an RTX 5090 with two 1440p monitors (one at 240 Hz and another at 155 Hz, set to 120 Hz). ...

Computer posts, sends audio to interface loads video then no display [Solved?]

For some reason, unplugging my monitor and plugging it back in made Windows no longer detect it. I know the monitor still works and GPU still works because it shows the Gigabyte boot loadup but windows just decided not to show to the monitor.

Sony Handycam 8

My father passed away and I’m trying to work on the A/V for the service. His wedding is on tape from a Handycam 8 (CCD-TR66 NTSC). What would be the easiest way to capture that video to a digital file? I do have the camcorder, direct power converter, and the video/mono out cable.

512 Tempest Mic - Too Loud

My friend has a 512 Tempest Microphone, and even though the gain knob is just slightly turned on (around 5-10% from off) and he's about 18 inches away form the mic, the audio is so loud that without a compressor he is clipping/close to clipping. It plugged directly into his computer, so there isn't an audio interface involved. I tested the mic at my house, and did not have this issue. I had the gain knob around 35-40% and sat about 6 or less inches away. So I don't think it's a mic issue, but I'm not sure what we're overlooking. If anyone can provide some direction, it would be much appreciated....

OBS Twitch stream always blurry

Specs: 7800x3D, 7800xt, 32GB 6600 RAM I play Warzone at 1440p. I've tried downscaling with bicubic and lanczos, 1664x936p and 1080p, x264, different bitrates from 6k-15k, and even the "secret sauce" video which introduced legitimate stuttering in stream. Just looking for any help to make the stream clearer and smoother. If push comes to shove I have a laptop that I can set up a dual pc setup with but I'd rather not....

Help Resolving Dark, Blood Red Tint Over All HDMI Capture

👋🏻 Hello, I have an HDMI gremlin that I cannot get rid of. I desperately need help. I am having a major issue with my HDMI capture. I am getting a dark red color over any console that I plug in the AVerMedia GC5532G2 Live Gamer Ultra 2.1 when plugged into my M1 iMac (16GB RAM, USB 4 port). I have tested multiple HDMI 2.1 cables, multiple USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 cables, and multiple capture cards (I had access to an Elgato 4K X). I have done testing on my M1 iMac, a M2 Ultra Mac Studio, a 2017 Intel MacBook Pro, and a 2017~ish Windows Dell laptop. ...

Rode Caster Pro 2 Virtual Channels causing audio crackle noise

I've had the Rode Caster Pro 2 for 2 months at this point. Its a create mixer, the only issue is lately I've been noticing weird audio crackling noise occurring I would say after 30 mins or more of use. I've searched reddit posts with people having similar issues from 2 years ago, even up to version 1.5.0 of the firmware where they introduced the virtual channels. I am trying to remember when it exactly it started, but there could be many factors. So far I've disabled my Realtek Sound Card, disabled the audio for my monitors and also disabled my 9950x3D's internal GPU. ...

Streaming PC windows 10 messing with bitrate when streaming to twitch somehow

I tried everything, resetting the pc multiple times, twitch bandwidth test and it gave me 100 quality score, tried ipconfig, winsock reset, resetting the ethernet through settings, tried different ethernet cables and a usb adapter, uninstalling the driver and resetting the pc to reinstall it and still the bitrate fluctuates like crazy, even changing to US twitch servers didnt help. Enhanced broadcast settings were turned off because I never use that at all. My network is fine since my main PC (rtx 4090) can stream perfectly fine (so my network itself and modem are okay) but my streaming pc (GTX 1070) cannot keep the bitrate stable. both usb adapter and ethernet port give out the same fluctuating patterns so it has to be something within windows 10 thats been screwing OBS over. I have attached the log for the streaming pc here if that helps. I turned off network optimization too....

Need help with a 3-2-1 backup plan

I want to back up my PC files, Google Drive, Google Photos, and jellyfin library. I have my PC, a NAS from Ugreen, and Google Drive, so that satisfies the 3-2-1 criteria, it's just about finding a way to essentially mirror everything to all 3 locations. I've somewhat accomplished this by using Ugreen's built in software to sync my PC files to the NAS, and also to sync my Google Drive to my NAS....

Twitch HEVC 1440p Transcoding

Currently I have an 18 mbps connection and multistream at 1440p 6000 kbps av1 to youtube and 1080p 6000 kbps h264 to twitch. I would like to send 1440p hevc 7500kbps to twitch but obviously do not have the bandwith to send multiple video tracks to twitch. My question is does twitch support transcoding for partners in the hevc beta? I would like to send only the 1440p hevc video track. specs 9800x3d/rtx 4080/1440p monitor.
