Source Replacer / Swapper

Okay so this HAS to be a solved issue, but I am usure of what tool I should use for this. As you can see in the image, I have a spot in this example layout where there is space for a source on screen, which gets switched out with other similarly-sized sources every so often. What I want is a system for replacing the source and swapping it out with one of the others. I have used the source toggler lua script in the past, I think, but this does not take into account priority, and is pretty limited....

Avermedia Duo, video signal showing up with red filter.

I installed an aver-media duo into my PC today. Input 2 works great with no issues, but input 1 has a red filter over any input I send into it. The pass through is working fine which makes me think it’s a software issue somewhere. Hoping someone who has ran into this could provide some feed skills. So far I’ve tried: ...

What settings do I use when exporting from Premiere to maintain quality but not have huge files?

Hello, I stream on Twitch then upload the recordings of the streams to Youtube. Last night I needed to edit one of the recordings in Premiere, and when I exported the video with the exact same settings that it had when I imported it, the size went from 8 GB to 3 TB. That is a ridiculous increase in file size obviously. If I have OBS record my stream at: High Quality, Medium File Size...

Capture card for dual pc setup.

Hey all, I think I’m going to try dual pc streaming again. In the fall I had purchased a 4K pro and returned it shortly after once I found out the hard way that even though there is 4k240hz pass through it can only capture 1080p60. My questions: 1) are there any workarounds for this? I don’t want to gimp my 4k240 oled monitor since that’s the whole reason I got it in the first place. ...

Converting 1440p stream from Live-U into 4 cropped 720p Streams

I visited my local computer store for insights on encoding performance (Intel QSV vs. discrete, NVENC on 1080 vs. 4060), but didn't get much help. I'm working on a niche livestreaming setup and would appreciate feedback, apologize for the long-winded post. Context: I livestream local boxing events, recently covering a tournament with 4 concurrent rings. I used SDI to HDMI capture, looped through a BMD multiview, and sent the HDMI to an ATEM Mini ISO. Both feeds went into my laptop with 2 USB capture cards, into OBS, which was sent via HDMI out to a Live-U Solo. I'm transitioning to a 2-PC setup: one local (capture PC) and one remote (stream PC, accessed via Parsec). The local PC will use OBS with Source Record to capture each ring's feed and record locally. The remote PC will stream the 4 individual rings to separate RTMP streams using 4 OBS portable sessions. and if the PC can handle it, I’ll also do back up recordings for each ring....

Match colours of OBS recording to Davinci Resolve 19 export

Hello, hope you're well. I have a recording of Marvel Rivals that I want to cut out some parts, no other effects or editing required. I'm using Davinci Resolve 19 (version 19.1.3 build 7) to cut the clip and export it. However, no matter what project settings or export settings I choose, the colours look either crushed or washed out. I understand that Resolve might be overkill for this task, but I'm looking to learn it. Previously, I was using mostly "Auto" settings in Resolve, but the colours looked all desaturated and washed out. However, I watched the video linked below and set the Data Levels to Full. The colours started to look better, but now the problem is that it looks high-contrast now, with dark areas becoming completely black and light areas becoming too bright. https://youtu.be/phwSgNO99wQ?si=yAbIWLqOyhsrALEy ...

Davinci Resolve 19.1.3 on MacOS Sequoia 15.3 - Cannot connect to Postgresql database on server

Hi, I'm having trouble connecting DaVinci Resolve Studio to a PostgreSQL 17 database hosted on my Proxmox server. It connects without any issues on Windows, but for some reason, it won’t connect on macOS. I’ve tried disabling and re-enabling the firewall, as well as adding DaVinci Resolve to the list of allowed applications for incoming connections. From my Mac, I can SSH into the PostgreSQL Docker container and connect to the database using the psql command in the terminal. I’ve also double-checked the postgresql.conf and pg_hba.conf files to ensure they are properly configured. Since DaVinci Resolve on Windows connects without any problems, there don’t appear to be any restrictions on the server. However, I can’t figure out why DaVinci on macOS refuses to connect. I’ve searched through various videos and forums but haven’t been able to identify the root cause. I’ve seen similar issues on Windows, but this setup should be straightforward. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!...

Missed frames in OBS

hey, i'm new to OBS and have noticed in my stats that I get a few missed frames in a 1-2hr youtube stream. so I let OBS run over night and hit 400+. Is this normal or is there something I can do to fix it? I've followed EposVox for years and used settings from his videos. using a 4090 with AV1 btw.

Frame Drop when streaming TEB with a RTX 4060

More trying to pick a few brains with this one but have a Canvas built at 1440p with no downscaling. Within it I have my Camera feed which is sent via Teleport with a NVIDIA Background Removal Plugin ontop of my Capture Card using a Source Clone, with a Composite Blur filter, to fill the Background. Everything is set to 1440p60 limited color range with 701 space, no issues when idle but will start stream and suddenly drop to sub 50fps on output. I only have TEB enabled for 3 sessions and no othe...

Black Background removal ( Nvidia Background removal) OBS encoder overload while using Source record

Hello, I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. I'm currently using the background removal from Nvidia for my camera. The problem is that I can't get rid of the black background that remains once you import the footage into any video editing software. I mostly use Sony Vegas 17. Secondly, I'm using source record by Elxedro in order to record both my webcam and gameplay separately, but OBS always tells me that my encoder is overloaded which in turn makes everything to buffer. I should mention that I want to do this while streaming at the same time for full transparency. Any help would be appreciated and educational. Lastly, I will post down below my PC specifications; maybe my PC can't handle all of that. Once again, thank you Processor AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 16-Core Processor 3.50 GHz Installed RAM 32.0 GB System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor...

Is 32gb of Ram worth it?

Hello! I am trying to upgrade my gaming PC with adding another 2 sticks of ram, I want to keep my tabs open while in-game, but I keep reading subreddits and it depends on my CPU and motherboard. And I got confused. I plan on buying another set of Corsair DDR4 CL16 3200mhz (the same set as I have [with same timings 16-18-18-36]). Current PC specs: Ryzen 7 5800 (non-x) 16gb 3200mhz [16-18-18-36] (2 8gig sticks)...

YouTube Audio Quality Issues

I'm doing some private test livestreams to YouTube, my audio coming into OBS is 5.1 24-bit 48 KHz, and OBS is encoding the 5.1 audio in AAC at a bitrate of 960 Kbps which should be more than plenty for 5.1 at that bit depth and sample rate. It's an RTMPS stream in Low Latency mode (not ultra). For whatever reason, when I'm checking out the stream on my browser at full quality the audio sounds like a badly encoded MP3 at around 64 Kbps. Is this because YouTube is re-encoding it to deliver to my b...

Multistream Setup

I just want a second pair of eyes for multistreaming to see if I have the PC horsepower to actually maintain all of these encodes for stream. If not then I'll probably figure out what to drop in discussion here as well. (It'll likely just be that if I do have to drop something it'll be the local recording, it's mainly to have the highest quality master file for editing) I attached a screenshot of my initial thoughts....

Using 2 separate GPUs to Multistream in dedicated Stream PC

I'm trying to stream to YouTube whilst also streaming to Twitch from my stream PC, but I run 2 GPU's: 1650 Super + A380 (for AV1). The Twitch livestream is unaffected and 0 dropped frames....
