blocks in the distance look untextured/ugly

rendered blocks in the distance look untextured while on youtube videos it looks completely normal, what can i do to fix it? for example the leaves look odd, i have no idea why its like that

My game keeps crashing nut due to DH tho

You dont have to help me since this is not really DH related (i think) but i noticed that the support here is pretty good and ive gotten help here before. I have 2 problems: 1. Appearently the mod "Moonlight Lib." causes the game to crash, if i disable the LIB mod everything works BUT if i deaktivate all other mods and activate the mods that require Moonlight LIB it also works, so there must be a other mod which doesnt work with the lib mod. but i dont know how to find it. ...

DH 2.3.0 not being loaded by server?

I am running a 1.21.4 server using Fabric 1.0.1, loader version 0.16.10 on Pterodactyl, however not seeing any DH related lines in the console when booting the server up. Also getting "Server does not support DH" in the F3 menu. The DistantHorizons.toml file that is supposed to be in /config is not being generated and I have tried adding this file manually with no results. I am wondering if Pterodactyl might be the issue, however all the other mods seem to load fine. Just wanted to check if there could be anything I'm missing on the DH side of things - mod list attached...

Blacklist dimensions

Hi sorry for asking i can't find an answer, is there a way to blacklist a dimension such as 'compactmachines:compact_world' since they are like 1 chunk in size only? thanks.

Server pregen pausing with no players online

I'm using /dh pregen on DH 2.3.0-b on a server to pre-generate chunks and LODs. The initial phase of pregeneration where it kept logging progress updates was done quite quickly and progressed even when no player was online. Now however, the server cpu usage drops to 0% when no player is online, but rises very high (700%+, definitely DH) when a player is online. The LODs which are visible to the client also clearly do not reach as far into the distance as they should. ...

Building and running distant-horizons on musl-libc

Thank you in advance for your time. I am trying to use distant-horizons 2.3.0b by itself on a fabric 1.21.3 install. I am using musl-libc, and have a symlink linking /lib/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 -> ld-musl-x86_64.so.1 for very basic "glibc compatibility". This results in the following crashlog whenever I attempt to create a world, or join a server: https://mclo.gs/htnM8jR (specifically, this was me attempting to create a default survival world immediately after starting minecraft) To the best of my understanding, this is an issue with the extracted libsqlitejdbc.so being built and linked for glibc, as evidenced by running ldd /tmp/sqlite-*-libsqlitejdbc.so: ```text mikolaj@workstation /tmp $ ldd sqlite-3.47.2.0-2e1f4088-40f3-493f-8ec2-9cb63d923b3d-libsqlitejdbc.so...
Solution:
Right, so the issue is that on my gentoo install, /lib/ld-musl-x86_64.so.1 actually points to /lib/libc.so. This means that /proc/self/map_files/* will point to /lib/libc.so instead of /lib/ld-musl-x86_64.so.1 after symlink resolution. The "fix" is therefore to point ld-musl-x86_64.so at libc-musl.so, which is a copy of libc.so... This is so hideously broken, and will need to be fixed up every time I update musl-libc :/

Reduce weird effects

Is there any way of reducing those effects? the render distance one, seen on watter, and the kelps appearing as green blocks one?

Weird load on multiplayer 1.18.2

This is the first time i have used DH, and i have the lastest version, i removed iris and other visual mods, cant get it to work properly, i allways have this bug. Also didnt see anything about it on faq but the dark loading, dont know if it is related. I have to mention im playing on a server that does not support DH default.

DH not working in twilight forest dimension

DH works fine in the overworld but when in twilight forest I get constant freezes and after a bit new chunks stop loading at all Logs spam this one error cpu/gpu/memory aren't maxed at all I'm running quite a few mods including embeddium singleplayer...

On a server its causing heavy client desync pretty much constantly. I removed it and it was working just fine. 1.20.1 47.4.0 forge.
Not at my PC right now but I was curious if anyone knew why it'd be doing that...

Change performance impact of DH on a server

Im hosting a server and I am experiencing performance issues after installing DH. Is there an option similar "CPU Load" which is found on the client? Or is there another way? I would prefer to not lower the maxSyncOnLoadRequestDistance which is at 4096.

no matter how much i tinker with my overdraw prevention settings, the game still looks horrible.

are there any mods that can cause it? i am playing my modpack and until updating the version to the latest one, i never had this issue.

logs spammed by DH 2.3 in Minecraft 1.21.1

my logs are being spammed with this line [Render thread/INFO]: OpenGL debug message: id=1282, source=API, type=ERROR, severity=HIGH, message='GL_INVALID_OPERATION error generated. Texture name does not refer to a texture object generated by OpenGL.'. It is happening in version 1.21.1 ( only other version i tested is 1.21.4 and no spam there). I am seeing game freezes and crashes when playing for some time with shaders ( specifically Photon development version). The spam doesn't start in main menu, it starts with joining a world ( singleplayer and multiplayer)....

Okay so I've run into a little problem with Weird Generation then it goes back to normal as you can see in Screenshot provided any suggestions on how to fix it? I was running a nightly build before so i deleted Server data to reload it but it didn't help. If you need more info please feel free to ask!

Server console spammed with errors

So we just installed the latest build on our server and it has finished generating LOD’s but every 5-10 seconds we get errors like the ones in the image below. Any advice would be appreciated

Slowly increasing lag over time

Performance is fine to start with, then fps begins to drop slowly, probably over about 30 minutes, I run the game at 120fps locked and after 30 minutes of mostly standing still it was at 68 fps. I watched it drop slowly from ~72 to 68. Happens in singleplayer and multiplayer. Left, rejoined lag continued. Removed mod and lag no longer happens. I am playing with a large amount of mods so this could be some mod incompatibility. For reference Craftoria modpack with embeddium and monocle removed replaced with sodium + updated iris....

how to enable fading?

the new DH version should support having a nicer fade between vanilla and DH chunks, but I get only pop-ins and can't find any option mention this
