Unable to modify height fog settings
Hey!
I want to get my height fog to look denser at lower heights (sea level) and get less dense as altitudes rise
But, I can't get it to work that way, instead it is a constant solid fog all around
I'm using the latest nightly...

Fog Settings In Nether
Any idea how to stop this effect from happening at the edge of my vanilla render distance?
I have tried changing the fog settings but they don't seem to have much effect (or I haven't found the right combination). Currently I have Fog Draw: Enabled, Fog Colour: Use world Fog, Disable Vanilla: False. Currently I have shaders disabled.
I'm running the steampunk modpack v6 on 1.20.1 with DH 2.1.2-a....

World and lods not fully generating ? (Picture)
Server side generation doesn't work correctly.
I'm playing on on a server, i have some minor bugs on solo but much more while on a server with shader or not, here's some footage...
using big globe what is the recommended render distance
also side question, how many chunks should i preload if i wanna play while exploring and stuff
Game crashes after a minute or two in the game.
I have been trying to get DH working on Forge for a few days now, but to no avail. I have tried launching it both inside a modpack, on its own, with and without shaders, but it always crashes exclusively with DH so I know it isn't mod incompatibility, my friend as well says it's a GPU issue by looking at the logs, I don't know how to read them or what to look for so I took his word for it. My game is fine so long as I'm in the menu, but when I load in, the game can crash anytime after 5 minutes of play, or the moment I load the single player world and all times in between. My game while in the world stays at a consistent 80 to 90 FPS regardless of settings being higher or lower. I have also tried the following to fix the crashing:
1. I have updated, downgraded, and completely reinstalled graphics drivers for my GPU.
2. I have used different versions of Java and reinstalled them all at least once. ...
What sort of performance toll does 1440p have over 1080p?
Planning to, somewhere in the (hopefully near) future upgrade my 75hz 1080p monitor to a 1440p one. How much of a percentage decrease should i see in performance when using 1440p compared to 1080p? (Im on forge 1.20.1, i use only ~100 lod render distance with high preset rethinking voxels shaders, medium dh presets with high vertical detail, and 8 chunks of vanilla render distance) (dh 2.1.2 since oculus breaks with 2.2)
Specs are:
3060 ti, ryzen 5 3600, 16gb of dual channel 3200 MHz ram (~10 is allocated to minecraft)
[nothing is overclocked, everything is out of the box and temps are always under 75C]...
LOD problem
I wanted to play with distant horizons and suddenly something like this happened, I can't see the water and some strange shadows appear
i am using complementery shaders unbound...

DH crashing,
Upon startup of the game, I immediately crash, whilst using Oculus and Embeddium only, they both work perfectly fine alone, and distant horizons appears to be the mod that is causing the crash, and im unsure as to why, (attached is a crashlog) on forge 1.20.1, let me know if you have any idea as to why it could be crashing, thanks.
Solution:
oculus 1.7 doesn't work with dh 2.2.x
Try this oculus version: https://github.com/Asek3/Oculus/actions/runs/11198312573/artifacts/2020008921 (you need to be logged in)...
Set transparency to complete in DH settings
guys, who knows where I can do this - Set transparency to complete in DH settings
display bug with Immersive Portals mod NeoForge 1.21.1
I talked to the developer who started making immersive portals on NeoForge and he said that he has no idea how to fix this problem (shown in the screenshots) - for some reason the LODs are displayed incorrectly. I want to ask the developers how to properly integrate the DH API so that it works specifically, because these 2 truly amazing mods should work together
modlist: iris, sodium, FFAPI, sinytra connector, cloth api, connector extras, DH-neoforge-2.3.0-a-DEV
Note: if I use DH 2.2.0 - there are no errors with displaying worlds...

indium is present but distant horizons doesnt detect it.
Im having a terrible time trying to install distant horizions, it just doesnt work for me and states that indium isnt installed. Minecraft does open after but it just immediatly crashes. Ive also attached all of my mods installed just incase one of them are causing the issue. Could someone please help me :3

Very slow generation
i set my render distance to 512 and the cpu load to the max, but my generation is insanly low, do you know how to fiw this?

LOD Chunks dissapearing (DH 2.3 Server + Shaders, pretty sure this happens on Singleplayer aswell.)
Whenever real chunks and LOD chunks collide, at the border between them the LOD Chunks go missing. its very annoying to look at it and the LOD's only reappear when you get closer, but then OTHER LOD's also dissapear depending on the real chunk render distance, so if its like 64 chunks then it wont be THAT noticeable (i think)
my lava is dark
some of my lava shows up dark, waiting 20 minutes for the lods to update did not help. i doubt the mod list is required here but ask me if you need it

clouds are a bit weird
the nice fluffy clouds are showing however the ugly boxy ones are showing too i have tried disabling the clouds in settings however this doesnt work and i have updated all my mods in forge is there any fix?
