Coordinates are set by me, by running a BFS over the world. Rooms do not overlap (mostly) in the MUD I'm writing a plugin for.

Depends on the game. The IRE ones provide them in their gmcp info and the Mudlet script for it makes use of those. But any of the ones using the generic mapper produce their own coordinates based on exploration and standard spacing setup in the script itself. (east is +1,+0,+0, northeast is +1,+1,+0, etc)

I get no coordinates here. Whereever I start mapping is 0/0/0 and if I go west, Mudlet will draw the room accordingly
