I have racked up 650 views in the past 6 days and i think i can continue to grow my channel but i want to make sure that my work will pay off and that i will be able to get monetised.I need someone to answer my question
You can get monetized but you can get copyrighted later on or reported for not using your own audios
Unless they aren’t copyrighted
Yes
So if they arent copyrighted
They are just sounds
And im uploading them but they are not mine
I will be able to get monetised
I don’t recommend doing that
Is it bait?
But you could get backlash from using other peoples content for money
Yeah
Maybe make yo ur own content
Yeah i used to make orginal content o
But reuploading sounds is way easier lol
And i dont think that someone would get backlash
Reloading is honestly dumb
Reuploading
Why
If you get monetized
Its smart
It’s not your stuff
So your gonna get in trouble
But
Ok
Do you think
That all the lo fi hip hop beats youtubers
Make their own beats?
People who are partnered with YouTube
Or the ones that upload rain sounds
Can see people who copy there stuff
So they could strike your channel
There is non copyright content thi
Free to use
What about that ishowspeed thing
That anyone could use and i could use that as an advantage
Ok that was copyright
But the rest
I suggest removing the speed song
And you’ll be good
Ok
As long as it free content and you don’t reupload anyone else’s stuff besides the free the use things
You’ll be fine
Ok nice
But i heard
About a term
Of monetization
That you have to make original content
In order to be monetized
It wouldn’t be free stuff anymore kinda
I think because when you monetize
The video gets ads
Wait @1afrodo can you help me here
From how I understand Youtube's Monetization system, you should be able to get monetized so long as you reach both goals without get heavy amounts of strikes or checks against his channel. It should be noted that even after being Monetized, yes, you can still get copyright struck for using other's songs (even if when you used the song it was Copyright free and recently changed, as some youtubers have been struck in the past for that.) Now, that's the objective comment on that.
However, to agree with Dead_Eye, morally, I'm not sure I agree with this strategy. You are effectively trying to just selling other people's works if I'm understanding this right. The rain fall is a false analogy because you can't copyright or claim ownership over the sounds of nature. As for the stuff about LoFi, that's not really copyrighted music. LoFi specifically refers to a genre of music, which incorporates subtle background noise amid a mixture of house, jazz, and hip-hop to give it a made-at-home sound.. Although many of the songs are similar, they aren't the same and for the most part, Dmitir, the runner of the longest LoFi girl stream, seems fairly lax about copyright striking anyone who uploads videos similar to his style. Obviously, I'm speaking as an outsider on this one, but I did do a bit of research back when it got Copyright Struck and was curious on the whole subject.
So what you are saying is that i can get monetized but its too risky because it can change in the future?
Yes, on the objective part of my argument.
Ok so if from now on i just keep uploading rain and nature sounds i will be fine right?
You should safe from any copyright claims to my knowledge, yes.
But is the original content thing true?is it based on copyrights or is it based on if you actually have original content
For monetization
The Monetization is based mostly on if you meet the requirements. However during your process, a YT representative reviews your channel to determine if you can monetize and one of the things they look for is how often your channel is Copyright claimed or checked, which means if it happens too often, they won't monetize the channel.
Assuming this was the question you were asking
It looks like you're using sounds from sites like Epidemic and stuff. You're technically not supposed to upload whole sounds as per their license
But to answer your original question, yes, you will likely be able to apply for monetization, but as soon as your channel is monetized, all of your videos that contain music from Epidemic and any other platform you've gotten music from, will be claimed by the publisher and you won't make any revenue off them.
Your original content will still be able to be monetized and you will be able to make revenue off of them
Thank you very much!
