WIt shouldn't overwrite as it appends an initialization line to an existing export.lua

S@walmis how early before production do you need to be paid. Mine is a good half a year away but would like to know for planning reasons

NCan anyone comment on longevity of this device? I know it’s just released and he made like 45 of them so who knows but I’d be super angry if this breaks down after 1-2 years after paying that kind of cash…. Primarily, I’m worried about 3D printed gimbal. Plastic moving parts tend not last long.

Athe big question when it comes to longevity is the availability of spare parts
Aone thing rhino has going for it is that it's huuuuuuuuuuuuuge
AI actually didn't take a look inside, but at least there's room for gigantic gimbals in there
Afor example vkb puts comparable amount of resistance through absolutely tiny steel parts
PMy idea is that if I ever have to replace a 3d printed part cause of wear & tear over time, I'll look at getting it printed in something really heavy duty, idk 3d printers but I'm assuming something out there will be in the realm I'd want like the carbonfiber filament & if the external housing is ever damaged or I have some spare $ & feel the inclination I might look at making/getting made one of the sheet metal designed housing for the RHINO. But from what I've seen & felt of my RHINO so far I don't think anything will be breaking anytime soon through normal usage, this thing is very solid feeling.
Awear & tear is a good point, though, and if you're worried about that the only option is to just wait and see when the first units start to wear down

JThis, Mr. Walmis, Sir, is the fucking hottest shit ever. I'm so blown away. All just out of the box settings and am totally totally amazed.
SI have mine rotated 180 degrees so the stick is closer to my crotch (giggity). So when flying helis, my arm can rest on my knee (like it should in real life to allow fingertip control of the stick). BTW, what is that screen setup in front of you? Did you print that? And make a controller from a pro micro arduino?
BHave people had good experiences adding flightstick extensions to the Rhino? I was planning to add the 200mm VPC one (along with the VFX grip) to give me a more realistic F-14 setup. I’m a bit worried that it’s going to be shaking all over the place once I hit the buffet but I guess I can adjust this in the VPForce configurator.

RIm going to add a 35cm curved extension to mine
SWithout an extension the stick ends up as far from the mounting point as a virpil with an extension. So then you have to put the rhino close to the floor

Pdepending on the weight of your grip that's going to be a lot of leverage, I have the VKB MCGU on the 200mm curved extension & I don't think you'd want to go any higher with the same sort of weight.
RI'll be using a virpil alpha.

PWith the vkb 200mm extension the RHINO feels really nice still, with the less heavy KG12 grip on it's definitely a noticeable difference in feel but I can adjust this in the VPforce settings, I use the grips in different planes too so the settings are different.
